Vulcan to Debut Three New Products at the 2017 National Restaurant Association Restaurant Hotel-Motel Show®

May 13, 2017 -- Vulcan will launch three innovative new products at this year’s National Restaurant Association Show at Chicago’s McCormick Place May 20-23.

Products being showcased in 2017 include:

  • Ultrasonic ScaleSafe Steamer, which uses automatic scale-fighting technology to minimize scale buildup and filter changers.

  • The CEF Countertop Fryer, the industry’s first ENERGY STAR® certified electric countertop fryer facilitates consistent food quality and high productivity thanks to solid state analog controls.

  • The FastBatch Braising Pan, speeds up production with a more efficient energy transfer system, cooking up to 20% faster than traditional units

Brenda Rice, Director of Marketing for Vulcan, said, “Each of these exciting new products embodies Vulcan’s iconic, durable and high-precision performance, further enhancing our portfolio of customer back innovation-minded commercial cooking equipment.”

The Ultrasonic Steamer, CEF Countertop Fryer, and FastBatch Braising Pan will be joined by the VC5G Gas Convection Oven, which will be honored with a 2017 Kitchen Innovations® (KI) Award. This prestigious accolade recognizes creative new equipment and technology which improve labor, energy efficiency, food safety and more. Specifically, the NRA praised the VC5G for its fully-removable dishwasher-safe doors and ENERGY STAR® testing efficiency scores.

Rice said, “We are delighted by this recognition from the NRA, which represents Vulcan’s fifth KI award in six years. This not only validates our 150-year legacy of providing top-quality, energy efficient foodservice equipment, but also but also motivates us to continue innovating and playing a leading role in supporting operators in consistently producing extraordinary results.

The country’s largest annual foodservice trade show in the country, the National Restaurant Association Restaurant Hotel-Motel Show® comprises four days of meetings, seeing, tasting, testing and more -- in other words, everything necessary to run a successful foodservice operation. The event brings together more than 67,000 foodservice professionals from all over the world for four action-packed days of exhibits, celebrity chef appearances, on-floor education sessions, hands-on workshops, awards programs, and other events and activities.
