Ongoing Support Amidst COVID-19

Vulcan is dedicated to supporting you amidst COVID-19. As an essential business, we will continue to provide support for foodservice and food retail locations to keep your operations up and running through these unprecedented times.

In response to the COVID-19 spread across the country, several states and other jurisdictions have issued orders requiring many businesses to temporarily suspend operation. These orders permit certain “Essential Businesses and Operations” to remain open. By delivery of this announcement, we wish to confirm that Vulcan qualifies as an “essential business” under the orders currently applicable to it. As such, we will continue to operate.

Our first priority is the health and safety of our employees and their families, our customers, and the communities in which we operate. We are following the guidance issued by the CDC as well as the state and local governments. We have encouraged employees who are able to work from home to do so. For those who cannot work remotely, we have implemented work practices according to CDC recommendations. This includes, but is not limited to, separating staff by off-setting shift hours or days and/or social distancing.

We are fully committed to meeting the critical supply needs of our customers, and we are constantly monitoring developments and carefully planning our operations to mitigate the pandemic’s impact where possible. If new guidelines are issued or our status changes, we will continue to provide information regarding the changes.
