Vulcan Hires and Promotes Experts to Key Positions

Updates to Organizational Structure to Support New Center of Excellence

(Baltimore, MD) November 9, 2021 — As Vulcan continues its journey to be the dominant single-brand cooking company in the foodservice industry, it is announcing a series of changes that will establish an organizational structure to support its expanding customer base and its new Center of Excellence.

“We have some amazing people we are promoting at Vulcan and some great new talent we are hiring to support our new Center of Excellence and ongoing commitment to best serve our customers,” said Vulcan VP/GM Chris Stern. Vulcan recently announced the following key promotions and additions to members of its team:

 

Cathy Sexton joined Vulcan as the Regional Sales Director for the Midwest and Southeast regions. She will be working alongside existing Regional Sales Directors Jim Sherman and Joe Maresca. Sexton is charged with executing on the consultant, K-12, chain, dealer and independent restaurant strategies for Vulcan with specific responsibility for delivering on annual sales and profit targets and building customer-centric solutions. Sexton brings significant sales expertise to Vulcan, most recently serving as VP of Sales with North American Kitchen Solutions and has held leadership roles at G.E.T. Enterprises, Rational USA and TriMark SS Kemp.

 

Vulcan has promoted Stacey Turek to Director of Chain Sales. She will be managing a go-to-market team serving foodservice and food retail chain customers. Prior to her promotion, Turek worked as Business Development Manager for Vulcan Fryers, Griddles and Charbroilers and has been responsible for delivering equipment solutions to chain customers. Turek was previously Director of National Accounts for Middleby and served as a sales leader for the Kellwood Company.

 

 

Chris Henderson has been promoted to Director of Engineering. He is responsible for leading the design engineering team in its pursuit to develop top quality, energy efficient equipment using customer-back innovation. Henderson previously spent time at Vulcan sister division Traulsen.

 

 

 

Meghan Hurst has been promoted to Director of Marketing and leads a team of brand, digital and product marketers. She is also responsible for enabling growth within the K-12 market segment alongside K-12 Ambassador Mike Burke, and with consultants alongside Consultant Services Manager Dan Montgomery. Hurst joined Vulcan seven years ago following roles at Dansko Footwear and Clemens Food Group.

 

Known for quality and reliability, Vulcan is setting the stage for the future by upgrading its Baltimore facility. The Center of Excellence will host training, end user testing and other culinary experiences when the first phase of the center opens in 2022. Vulcan is building its support teams at the center to include culinary, technical, sales and marketing personnel and will be investing in upgrading its facility, engineering lab and test kitchen to best prepare the organization for long-term success.
