Vulcan Promotes Meghan Hurst to VP of Sales and Marketing

Will Continue to Enhance the Vulcan Customer Experience

(Baltimore, MD) March 15, 2022 — Vulcan, the leading provider of commercial cooking equipment, announced today that Meghan Hurst has been promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Vulcan.  This promotion comes at a strategic time for Vulcan as it continues to further enhance the customer experience.

Hurst has been with Vulcan for almost eight years.  She has held marketing roles with increasing responsibility and most recently served as Marketing Director where she developed and led a team comprised of marketers, chefs and market segment managers.  She has deep market knowledge and is passionate about crafting and executing brand, product and category management strategies.

Responsible for maintaining and growing Vulcan’s market share, Hurst will be focused on continuing to apply ITW’s 80/20 business process across the selling function.  She will also strive to increase and maintain a high level of satisfaction for Vulcan customers.

She will be responsible for leading the Sales team including Sales Directors, Product Business Development Managers, K-12 Market Segment Manager, Consultant Services Manager, Chain Sales Team, the Customer Service team and the Marketing and Culinary teams.  She will continue to create and maintain strong relationships with reps, dealers, buying groups, consultants, key end users and industry associations.

Hurst has spent the majority of her career in the foodservice industry, and also worked in marketing positions with Dansko footwear, Clemens Food Group and agency Chapman Cubine Adams + Hussey before joining Vulcan in 2014.

Known for its great quality and reliability, Vulcan is setting the stage for its future by developing the new facility which will be located in Baltimore and built over three phases over the next year.  The Center of Excellence will host training, end user testing and other culinary experiences when the first phase of the center opens in 2022.  Vulcan is building its support teams at the center to include culinary, technical and sales personnel and will be investing in upgrading its facility, engineering lab and kitchen.
