The Advantages of Auto-Fill Steamers: A Closer Look

From helping food maintain flavor, texture, color and nutrition, commercial steamers offer many benefits. One additional advantage delivered by Vulcan’s EO3 and EO5 Series boilerless steamers? The optional Auto-fill (AF) feature. Here’s a closer look at this exciting and exclusive technology.

Continuous Steam

Vulcan EO Series Boilerless Steamers with AF technology are designed to easily connect directly to a water line for automatic water level control. This “trickle fill” maintains a boil once steam production has begun which not only supports continuous steam production, but also accelerates startups. This feature also includes an integrated sensor which eliminates the chances of overfill.

Ease and Efficiency

Other advantages of AF technology include ease of cleaning and generator-free steam production which remove time-consuming cleaning and routine maintenance tasks, including descaling and filter changes. Just wipe surfaces clean at the end of the day and that’s it.

And while ease and eco-friendly doesn’t always go hand-in-hand, Vulcan’s EO Series Boilers Steamers are Energy Star® certified thanks to the use of proprietary steam-sensing technology which minimizes energy consumption and water usage while simultaneously reducing cook times.

The Vulcan name has long been known for innovation. Auto-fill is just another example of the many ways this iconic manufacturer of high-performance kitchen equipment consistently delivers on its promise to make cooking more powerful and productive for today’s busy restaurants.
